Sourcing Category Manager
Job Summary
To support the growth of the company, the full-time remote Sourcing Category Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement processes for construction and building products, negotiate vendor contracts, and evaluate product quality while fostering vendor relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage sourcing and procurement processes for construction/building products and consumables
- Negotiate pricing and value for products and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, guiding team members to meet business goals
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. are preferred
- Strong knowledge of the complete procurement cycle and contract negotiation skills
- In-depth understanding of Procurement, Supply Chain, and Inventory fundamentals
