Job Summary
Focused on transforming the construction industry, the full-time remote Sourcing Category Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement processes, negotiate vendor contracts, and develop vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective product availability.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage sourcing and procurement for Construction/Building Products/Consumables
- Negotiate pricing and value for products and services while establishing vendor relationships
- Analyze market trends and vendor performance to improve procurement processes and product quality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. preferred
- Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and inventory fundamentals
- Proven ability to negotiate and build relationships with vendors and stakeholders
