Sourcing Category Manager
Job Summary
To support a growing procurement team, the full-time remote Sourcing Category Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement processes for construction and building products, negotiate vendor contracts, and develop vendor relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage sourcing and procurement processes for construction-related products
- Negotiate pricing and value for products and services while establishing vendor relationships
- Evaluate product quality and market trends to optimize vendor selection and procurement strategies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. preferred
- Strong knowledge of the complete procurement cycle and contract negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze data and drive in-depth analysis of category usage and spend
