Sourcing Category Manager
Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time salaried Sourcing Category Manager will manage sourcing and procurement processes for construction products, negotiate vendor contracts, and develop team members while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and oversee sourcing and procurement processes for construction/building products and consumables
- Negotiate pricing and value for products and services while managing vendor relationships and contracts
- Evaluate product vendors and market trends to optimize procurement strategies and improve purchasing efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. preferred
- Strong knowledge of the complete procurement cycle and contract negotiation skills
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and vendors
