Job Summary
The full-time remote Sourcing Category Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement processes for construction and building products, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage vendor relationships to enhance operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and oversee sourcing and procurement processes for construction products and consumables
- Negotiate pricing and value for products and services while managing vendor relationships and contracts
- Evaluate market trends and product vendors to optimize procurement strategies and ensure product availability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. preferred
- Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and inventory fundamentals
- Proven project management and leadership skills with effective communication abilities
