Sourcing Category Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing procurement team, the full-time salaried Sourcing Category Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement processes for construction products, negotiate vendor contracts, and build strong vendor relationships while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage the sourcing and procurement processes for construction/building products and consumables
• Negotiate pricing and value for products and services while creating and renewing vendor relationships
• Evaluate product vendors, analyze market trends, and assist in developing procurement standards and best practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
• At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. are preferred
• Strong knowledge of the complete procurement cycle and vendor relationship management
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to mine data for in-depth analysis
