Sourcing Category Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Sourcing Category Manager, the successful candidate will oversee sourcing and procurement processes for Construction and Building Products, negotiate vendor contracts, and develop team members to meet business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage the sourcing and procurement processes for construction products and consumables
- Negotiate pricing and value for products and services while establishing vendor relationships and contracts
- Evaluate product quality and market trends to optimize vendor options and procurement strategies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in Construction & Building Products category management
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or C.P.M. preferred
- Strong knowledge of the complete procurement cycle and contract negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze data to drive insights and build relationships with stakeholders and vendors
