Sourcing Manager

Job Summary

To manage sourcing activities for direct materials, the full-time Sourcing Manager will develop sourcing strategies, oversee a substantial budget, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment, preferably within the CST/EST time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present sourcing strategies to reduce costs and mitigate supply risks for a portfolio of commodities
• Conduct spend analysis and market intelligence to identify opportunities and risks, ensuring alignment with product management and operations
• Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with key vendors while monitoring category spend to capture sourcing savings

Required qualifications

• BS/BA Degree required; engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum of seven years of related experience, with at least five years in procurement within the chemical or pharmaceutical industries
• SAP experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills highly preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred (yellow, green, or black belt)
• Proven negotiation and contract management skills
