South Carolina Canvasser

Job Summary

Engaging with community members through door-to-door outreach, the part-time South Carolina Canvasser will conduct conversations about health care and affordability issues, mobilize contacts for events, and track interactions to support the organization's mission until November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Canvass neighborhoods and conduct in-person and phone conversations regarding care needs and affordability challenges
• Perform targeted outreach at community centers and events to connect with care workers and families
• Identify and activate new contacts to recruit them into the organization and encourage participation in programs

Required qualifications

• Access to a car with insurance and a smartphone with reliable internet
• Able to engage with diverse community members and conduct in-person outreach weekly
• Willingness to participate in phone banking as assigned
• Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality
• Goal-oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
