Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I to accurately assign medical codes for various patient services.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract and code inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and emergency department medical records
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines for accurate and timely code assignment
• Address coding denials related to assigned coding tasks

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Certified as a Certified Coding Associate (CCA) or equivalent
• Maintain certification to remain in the position
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, and CPT4 coding systems
• Familiarity with official coding guidelines from relevant associations
