South Carolina Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Supervisor to oversee hospital coding operations and manage coding staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct team meetings and participate in departmental and external meetings
• Ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters
• Manage staff lifecycle activities, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in HIM/Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience (6 years in coding)
• Expertise in ICD-10 CM/PCS, HCPCS, and CPT-4 coding systems
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payer regulations
• Ability to work closely with healthcare providers for accurate documentation and coding
• Experience in management with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
