South Carolina Collections Analyst

Job Summary

Collaborating with Revenue Cycle leadership, the full-time South Carolina Collections Analyst will manage self-pay inventory, analyze bad debt for tax setoff opportunities, and ensure accurate vendor reconciliation while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage self-pay inventory and analyze bad debt to identify tax setoff opportunities
• Provide timely updates and reports to the SC Department of Revenue and maintain accurate records of tax setoff activities
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure compliance with tax setoff guidelines and effective communication

Required qualifications

• High school diploma with four years of medically related customer service/collections experience or a bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Epic
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to establish effective relationships with various contacts
