Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Capital Assets Manager, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Accountant will analyze capital assets, manage asset disposals and transfers, and review finances of Health System capital projects while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure timely recognition of asset disposals and proper recording of asset transfers within the organization
- Maintain communication with division managers and project managers to ensure compliance with capitalizing policies and assist with project reviews
- Summarize and organize workpapers for audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
- Three years of work experience in accounting, business, audit, or finance
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Experience in healthcare or hospital settings is preferred
- Additional qualifications such as an MBA, MHA, CHFP, or CPA designation are a plus
