South Carolina Licensed AI Consultant
Job Summary
Supporting the Office of Technology and Information Services, the full-time South Carolina Licensed AI Consultant will provide technical expertise in the evaluation, design, and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions, working remotely with occasional onsite visits required.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives
- Contribute to the review and approval process for AI use cases and vendors, ensuring compliance with state requirements
- Support the State's AI Center of Excellence by designing secure architectures and developing reusable technical patterns
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 1 year of proven experience establishing proof of concept success criteria and evaluating AI solutions
- 2 years of hands-on experience with generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot
- 1 year of experience using AI-assisted coding tools for development and testing
- 1 year of experience integrating AI capabilities with Azure and AWS
