Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient CDI Specialist (RN).

Key Responsibilities

• Improve the accuracy, quality, and completeness of clinical documentation in outpatient medical records
• Collaborate with providers, coding teams, and healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Facilitate accurate coding and optimize reimbursement while reflecting the true severity of illness and care provided

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• BSN and a minimum of five years clinical nursing experience required
• At least three years of experience in the clinical field (RN), CDI field, or coding field required
• Experience in an outpatient or acute care setting required
• Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation required
• Certification as a Professional Coder, Coding Specialist, or Clinical Documentation Specialist within one year required
