Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II responsible for accurate code assignment of medical diagnoses and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign accurate codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency service diagnoses and procedures
• Utilize ICD-10 and CPT coding systems in accordance with official guidelines
• Ensure compliance with Health Information Management Department policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in health information technology or related field, or 5 years of coding experience
• Coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) is required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of coding experience with an Associate's degree
• Familiarity with coding software is essential
• Relevant coding credentials such as RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, or CPC-A are required
