Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II.

Key Responsibilities
  • Abstract and code medical record documentation across various departments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
  • Select and sequence appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, and CPT-4 codes for diagnoses and procedures
  • Contribute to coding compliance by ensuring timely and accurate assignment of codes, including final DRG assignment
Required Qualifications
  • Must have one of the required credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
  • Minimum of 1 year of coding experience in a hospital setting
  • Expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, and CPT-4 coding systems
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software
