Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II-3.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract and code medical record documentation for various departments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Select and sequence appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, and CPT-4 codes for diagnoses and procedures
• Adhere to coding compliance guidelines and contribute to timely and accurate code assignment

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate's degree in health information technology or related field, or 5 years of coding experience
• Coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) is required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of coding experience with an Associate's degree
• Familiarity with coding software is preferred
• Must possess a coding credential from AAPC or AHIMA
