South Carolina Licensed Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing organization, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Controller will manage all accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting processes while working remotely during Eastern hours and contributing to the operational maturity of a private equity-backed business.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage finance and accounting initiatives, including budget, audit, and month-end close processes, utilizing U.S. GAAP accounting
• Oversee daily accounting functions such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll, while participating in these processes as needed
• Maintain accounting and finance Standard Operating Procedures and develop recommendations for process improvements

Required qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in accounting with a strong understanding of financial statement preparation and GAAP compliance
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience in public accounting is highly preferred
• Proven ability to identify and address data anomalies, ensuring accuracy in financial reports
• Experience leading or supporting financial audits and meeting tax requirements
