South Carolina Licensed General Counsel
Job Summary
Reporting to the CEO, the full-time South Carolina Licensed General Counsel will provide strategic legal counsel in a remote setting, focusing on healthcare regulatory compliance, governance support, and risk management while overseeing the compliance function across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Advise the CEO and executive leadership on legal and regulatory requirements, translating them into actionable guidance
- Lead the implementation and oversight of a comprehensive Compliance Program aligned with HHS-OIG guidance
- Manage contracting and transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission and ability to practice in South Carolina
- Extensive experience in healthcare law and regulatory compliance
- Working knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards and survey processes
- Ability to manage ambiguity and work collaboratively in a team environment
