South Carolina Licensed Medical Review Supervisor
Job Summary
Supervising the daily operations of Utilization Review and Medical Review staff, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Medical Review Supervisor will manage staff activities, ensure quality control, and develop departmental procedures while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day activities of assigned staff, identifying training needs and ensuring accurate workflow
- Supervise staff performance, including approval of time and leave, while providing training and motivation for excellent customer service
- Perform quality control functions and develop work plans to enhance performance, while preparing and maintaining reports
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in a job-related field or graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Five years of clinical or utilization review/medical review experience, with three years being clinical
- One year of leadership experience or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the state of hire or a compact multistate RN license
- Working knowledge of managed care and various healthcare delivery systems
