Job Summary

Assessing financial risk for complex mortgage loans, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Mortgage Underwriter will analyze borrower applications, determine loan eligibility, and manage a pipeline of active loans while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite mortgage loan products by gathering and reviewing applicant information to determine repayment ability
• Review new applications for completeness and ensure accuracy in income, asset, debt calculations, and credit history
• Provide client support throughout the underwriting process and manage loan actions to ensure timely closings

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting, or
• High School Diploma or GED and 7 years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting
