Job Summary
To optimize medication use in high-cost and high-volume care settings, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Pharmacoeconomic Specialist will direct and organize programs that evaluate the cost and consequences of drug therapy, utilizing pharmacoeconomic analyses to develop strategies for cost-effectiveness and patient outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement economic models and value propositions for medication use across various patient settings
- Generate cost-effectiveness and budget impact models to support optimal contract positioning and reimbursement strategies
- Analyze claims and billing data to enhance cost-effectiveness and prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience
- Experience evaluating medications for formulary inclusion in hospital and outpatient settings
- Understanding of 340b rules and pharmacy pricing policies
- Proficiency in statistical analyses and health economic modeling
