Job Summary
To support patient scheduling and authorization processes, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Scheduling Coordinator will deliver exceptional customer service, manage insurance verification and authorization, and schedule complex exams while working remotely within a 2-hour radius of North Charleston, SC.
Key responsibilities
- Completing insurance verification and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
- Scheduling complex exams and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Maintaining documentation and managing communication through email and voicemail for assigned practices
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in an office or hospital environment, with a preference for high-volume call center experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
