Job Summary

To advance the state's cybersecurity posture, the fully remote Security Architect - Consultant will design, implement, and optimize detection and response strategies across all state agencies on a 12-month contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced security detection mechanisms for statewide information systems
• Collaborate with agencies to assess current security controls and recommend improvements
• Lead incident detection and response efforts, ensuring rapid identification and mitigation of threats

Required qualifications

• In-depth experience with security architecture and detection engineering in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in threat detection, incident response, and risk assessment
• Hands-on knowledge of SIEM tools, endpoint detection, and advanced monitoring solutions
• Proven ability to design and implement detection logic and automation
• Solid understanding of network security, cloud security, and vulnerability management
