South Carolina Licensed Security Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the South Carolina Licensed Security Architect will architect, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions while analyzing existing infrastructure and developing security policies for the state's Division of Information Security.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions and protocols across IT systems
• Analyze and evaluate existing security infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements
• Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure robust protection

Required qualifications

• 5-8 years of proven experience in IT security architecture and engineering in complex environments
• Deep understanding of network, application, and cloud security frameworks
• Proficiency in security risk assessment, vulnerability management, and policy development
• Strong knowledge of compliance standards (NIST, FISMA, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to conduct security audits and implement remediation strategies
