South Carolina Licensed Security Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, a South Carolina Licensed Security Architect will create, tune, and maintain detection rules while engaging with state agencies to enhance centralized security services over a 12-month period.

Key responsibilities

• Create, tune, and maintain detection rules within the state monitoring environment
• Engage with state agencies to promote and support the adoption of centralized security services
• Collaborate as a consulting detection engineer within the Division of Information Security

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Information Security, or 8+ years of relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience with scripting automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
• 5+ years of experience supporting large IT environments and system deployments
• Experience with Sigma, Yara, and other industry-standard detection languages
• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT & CK Framework
