South Carolina Licensed Security Architect

Job Summary

To support the Division of Information Security, the full-time South Carolina Licensed Security Architect will drive statewide information security governance, risk, and compliance initiatives while working remotely with a preference for candidates in the Columbia, SC area.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the execution of statewide information security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives
• Assess, implement, and monitor security controls to ensure compliance with state-wide standards and policies
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential threats

Required qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in information security, GRC frameworks, and security architecture
• Proven ability to implement, manage, and improve security controls and processes
• Expertise in risk assessments, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance
• Willingness to obtain CJIS certification post-hire
• Must pass a 7-year background check, credit history, driving record (MVR), E-Verify, and SLED check
