Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, a South Carolina Licensed Security Architect will manage cybersecurity automations, security tool development, and identity and access management while collaborating with a large enterprise security team to enhance security operations for state agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, design, development, and operational support of enterprise security automations and custom security tools
- Develop and maintain automated workflows for incident response, alert enrichment, and vulnerability management
- Support security architects and engineers by troubleshooting complex technical issues and ensuring high availability of security tools and systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Security; 8+ years of relevant experience may substitute for education
- 5+ years of experience in supporting large IT environments and cybersecurity technologies
- Hands-on experience in security engineering and developing automations using Python
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, security platforms, and operating systems
- Experience with Linux system deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management
