Job Summary

A school district is seeking a South Carolina Licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired for remote telehealth instruction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist resource teacher and provide adaptive equipment instruction
• Deliver orientation and mobility instruction
• Provide daily living skills, low vision equipment adaptation, braille, and educational tutoring

Qualifications:

• Teaching certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in South Carolina
• Experience with facilitated IEP meetings and advocacy for students
• Ability to serve as a liaison between parents, teachers, ophthalmologists, and the community
• Knowledge of digital solutions and technology for remote instruction
• Flexibility and ability to work independently
