South Carolina Software Architect Consultant

Job Summary

To support the South Carolina Judiciary, the part-time Software Architect Consultant will architect and design software solutions for court systems, advise on best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders in a fully remote capacity for a 12-month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and review software solutions tailored for court systems
• Advise technical teams on best practices, security, and scalability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and technical specifications

Required qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Architect, ideally within government or legal system environments
• Deep proficiency in software design patterns and enterprise architecture
• Strong understanding of application security and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and coordinate across virtual teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
