Job Summary
To support the Behavioral Health team, the full-time salaried Nurse Practitioner will provide medical management for patients, collaborating with psychiatrists and other staff while working remotely in South Dakota and Minnesota, with a mix of day and night shifts including weekends and holidays.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct acute assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for patients presenting to emergency and inpatient units
- Assess patients for suicide and violence risk, recommending appropriate levels of care and collaborating with families as needed
- Place direct admit orders and assist in rounding/evaluation for patients across various care environments
Required qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Dakota and Minnesota
- Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program
- Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing required
- Federal DEA and/or State DEA licensure required within 9 months of hire
- Completion of state-specific certification/education within the initial and renewal time periods
