Job Summary
Providing remote interpreting services, the part-time South Dakota Licensed Legal Interpreter will deliver Over-the-Phone and Video Remote interpreting for various clients, including the South Dakota DHS/LTSS offices, while ensuring adherence to data security protocols and professional standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate OPI and VRI services between state representatives and non-English speakers
- Maintain professionalism and clarity in communication, ensuring correct concepts and meanings are conveyed
- Adhere to data security protocols and comply with applicable ethics and standards
Required qualifications:
- Court certified or court qualified/registered as a legal interpreter
- At least two years of experience in OPI and VRI interpretation in a professional setting
- Full fluency in English and a native language
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Must be 18 years or older and reside in the United States
