Job Summary

Providing remote interpretation services, the independent contractor South Dakota Licensed Medical Interpreter will deliver Over-the-Phone and Video Remote interpreting for various clients, including state government representatives, while ensuring compliance with data security protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate OPI and VRI services between non-English speakers and state government representatives
• Ensure accurate interpretation of concepts and meanings while maintaining a high level of customer service
• Adhere to data security protocols and ethical standards throughout the interpretation process

Required qualifications

• Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) designation or equivalent credentials
• At least two years of experience in OPI and VRI interpretation
• High School Diploma or equivalent educational background
• Full fluency in English and a native language
• Willingness to undergo a criminal history background check
