Job Summary
To support the Behavioral Health team, the part-time Nurse Practitioner will provide medical management for patients, collaborating with psychiatrists and other staff, while working remotely on a non-exempt hourly basis with a mix of day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct acute assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of patients in emergency and inpatient settings
- Place direct admit orders for patients requiring support in crisis stabilization units
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate Crisis Response Plans and ensure high-quality patient care
Required qualifications
- Active PMHNP license in South Dakota and Minnesota
- Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
- Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing required
- Active Federal and State DEA certification
- Completion of state-specific certification/education within required time periods
