Job Summary
To support the Behavioral Health team, a part-time PRN South Dakota Licensed Nurse Practitioner will provide medical management of patients, collaborating with psychiatrists and staff while working remotely on a flexible schedule that includes a mix of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct acute assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of patients presenting to emergency and inpatient behavioral health units
- Place direct admit orders for patients requiring support for inpatient behavioral health and crisis stabilization
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate services and enhance quality care for patients
Required qualifications
- Active PMHNP license in South Dakota, Minnesota, California, or Texas
- Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
- Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing required
- Federal DEA and/or State DEA licensure required within 9 months of hire
- Completion of state-specific certification/education within initial and renewal time periods
