South Dakota Licensed Patient Safety Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Patient Safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor indicators for risk management and oversee related processes
• Investigate incidents involving patients, visitors, physicians, or employees
• Coordinate with other risk management services and analyze risk management data

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred
• Three years of experience in hospital and/or clinic operations preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Risk Management and Patient Relations programs
• Currently holds an unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license
• American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) Barton Certificate recommended
