Southeast Regional Director

Job Summary

Leading efforts to restore and protect rivers in the Southeast, the full-time salaried Southeast Regional Director will manage a regional team, drive fundraising initiatives, and advocate for clean water and healthy rivers while working remotely from flexible locations in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.

Key responsibilities

• Building and mentoring the regional team while developing and implementing strategies for river protection and restoration
• Managing project and advocacy work with local partners and national program staff
• Executing fundraising strategies and cultivating relationships with stakeholders at various levels

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in conservation, fundraising, and project management
• Demonstrated success in partnership building and collaboration
• Experience with grants management and fundraising from diverse sources
• Knowledge of river management issues, including floodplains and dam removal
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team in a fast-paced environment
