SOX Audit Lead

Job Summary

To strengthen the SOX compliance program, the remote SOX Audit Lead will manage assigned process areas, coordinate walkthroughs with control owners, maintain process documentation, and track remediation efforts while leveraging AI and data analytics to enhance controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual SOX 404 program assessment, including planning, execution, testing, and reporting
• Serve as the SOX subject matter expert, advising on control changes as systems and processes evolve
• Develop and maintain process narratives, flowcharts, and risk and control matrices while coordinating with cross-functional teams and external auditors

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience auditing internal controls in a SOX or similar compliance environment
• Working knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks, such as COSO and COBIT
• Ability to produce clear process documentation, including narratives and flowcharts
• Relevant professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA) or actively pursuing one
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent process areas
