SOX Audit Lead

Job Summary

As a remote SOX Audit Lead, the individual will manage the SOX compliance program by overseeing assigned process areas, coordinating walkthroughs, maintaining documentation, and advising on control design and operation while leveraging AI and data analytics to enhance efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual SOX 404 program assessment, including planning, execution, testing, and reporting
• Serve as the SOX subject matter expert, advising on control changes and maintaining process narratives and risk matrices
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external auditors to ensure timely audit cycles and effective risk assessments

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of SOX and internal audit experience, covering financial and IT controls
• Working knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks like COSO and COBIT
• Ability to produce clear process documentation, including narratives and flowcharts
• Relevant professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA) or actively pursuing one
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent process areas
