SOX Audit Lead

Job Summary

To strengthen the SOX compliance program, the remote SOX Audit Lead will manage assigned process areas, coordinate walkthroughs with control owners, maintain documentation, and track remediation efforts while leveraging AI and data analytics to enhance controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual SOX 404 program assessment, including planning, execution, testing, and reporting
• Serve as the SOX subject matter expert, advising on control changes and maintaining process narratives and risk matrices
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external auditors to ensure timely audit cycles

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of SOX and internal audit experience, covering financial and IT controls
• Working knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT
• Ability to produce clear process documentation including narratives and flowcharts
• Relevant professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA) or actively pursuing one
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent process areas
