Spanish-English Interpreter

Job Summary

To support a growing need for language services, professional Spanish-English Interpreters will provide accurate over-the-phone interpretation for non-English and English speakers in various industries, working remotely on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take notes during calls and be prepared with industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare
• Communicate with and report to team leaders, engaging in ongoing professional training and certification

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in English and Spanish at a bilingual/native level
• Minimum of 1 year of interpreting experience
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology; familiarity with legal terminology is a plus
• High school diploma in the native language
• International certifications in the healthcare industry are advantageous (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA)
