Job Summary

A company is looking for an Over-the-Phone Spanish Medical Interpreter.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret live medical conversations between Spanish- and English-speaking parties over the phone with accuracy and professionalism
• Accurately render medical terminology, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment instructions in real-time
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and interpreter ethics

Required Qualifications

• Full professional fluency in both Spanish and English with the ability to accurately interpret complex medical terminology
• 1+ year of experience in medical interpretation
• Completion of a recognized 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program (or currently enrolled)
• Strong cultural competence and awareness of regional language variations
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, customer-focused approach
