Spanish Medical Interpreter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Interpreter I- Spanish- PRN.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication between healthcare providers and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients
• Translates written communications and assists LEP patients with healthcare forms
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to the Medical Interpreter Code of Ethics

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate Program or Associate's Degree preferred
• 1 year of experience in interpreting in a medical setting required
• Medical Interpreter Certification Training within 180 days required
• Certificate from an Accredited 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program preferred
• Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and translating English and targeted languages
