Spatial Designer

Job Summary

To support the Platforms & Devices team, the Spatial Designer will create innovative physical environments and architectural layouts for Google's hardware ecosystem, working remotely with a preference for candidates within EST hours.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive spatial concepts, floor plans, and custom fixture designs for retail environments
• Produce photorealistic 3D models and detailed renderings to convey spatial intent to stakeholders
• Collaborate with Experience Strategists and Graphic Designers to optimize customer flow and integrate brand identity into 3D structures

Required qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., Rhino, SolidWorks, SketchUp)
• Strong background in Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Workspace tools
• Deep understanding of architectural constraints and retail fixture manufacturing
• Experience collaborating with fabricators and production partners
