Job Summary
Providing high-level project management and coordination, the hybrid Special Projects Manager will lead funding initiatives, design training programs for statewide stakeholders, and manage cross-cutting projects to advance the mission of the Center for Local Planning.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and secure new funding opportunities for the Center while fulfilling reporting requirements
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs for stakeholders including cities, counties, and development districts
- Collaborate with sister agencies and provide technical assistance to field staff while cultivating relationships with local government partners
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field
- Minimum seven years of related experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role, preferably in government or a university context
- Strong project management skills with experience managing grants and special projects
- Excellent written communication skills, including grant proposal writing and policy document production
- Knowledge of local government planning, zoning, or regulatory processes
