Job Summary

A company is looking for a Specialty Authorization Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clinical departments to secure drug and procedural benefits prior to patient treatment
  • Assess and review patient treatment plans for pre-certification and location approval
  • Maintain positive relationships with clinical departments and ensure accurate drug dose calculations


Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade school or college graduate in healthcare or CHAA certification required within 12 months of hire
  • Two years of healthcare experience required
  • Two years of health insurance authorizations or related experience required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 required
