Job Summary
A company is looking for a Specialty Authorization Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical departments to secure drug and procedural benefits prior to patient treatment
- Assess and review patient treatment plans for pre-certification and location approval
- Maintain positive relationships with clinical departments and ensure accurate drug dose calculations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Trade school or college graduate in healthcare or CHAA certification required within 12 months of hire
- Two years of healthcare experience required
- Two years of health insurance authorizations or related experience required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 required
