Sports Data Analyst

Job Summary

Collaborating with Data Scientists and Engineers, the fully remote Sports Data Analyst will diagnose data pipeline integrity issues, detect inaccuracies in sports data, and support feature development while ensuring data validation and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Data Scientists and Engineers to identify and resolve data pipeline integrity issues
• Detect and source origins of data inaccuracies, and define validation tests for future errors
• Support lead Data Scientists in feature development and model analysis through detailed documentation and data validation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in football data analysis
• Deep knowledge of football, basketball, or baseball, including roster compositions and gameplay strategies
• Proficiency in Data Extraction, Wrangling, and Analysis using Python
• Strong SQL querying skills
