Sports Medicine Physician Advisor

Job Summary

To support a healthcare venture capital fund, the part-time Sports Medicine Physician Advisor will evaluate startups through the lens of injury-prevention analytics, musculoskeletal diagnostics, and performance recovery while collaborating with clinical peers to influence investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical reviews of technologies impacting musculoskeletal injury assessment and rehabilitation
• Evaluate safety claims and return-to-play clearance logic for sports-related injuries
• Advise portfolio companies on rehabilitation protocols and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Required qualifications

• Board-certified Sports Medicine Physician with experience in musculoskeletal care and concussion management
• Familiarity with injury patterns and return-to-play benchmarks
• Experience with performance data platforms and tele-rehab technologies (preferred but not required)
• Ability to translate sports-injury timelines into investment evaluations and safety reviews
• Commitment to equitable access to sports performance medicine and youth athlete safety
