Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented Sports Multiplatform Editor, this full-time position will manage the copy editing and formatting of sports stories for both web and print, ensuring audience engagement while working remotely from the Puget Sound area.
Key responsibilities
- Curating and producing the Seattletimes.com sports homepage
- Copy-editing sports stories for web and print publication
- Producing digital news alerts and email newsletters
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working on a sports digital or copy desk at a major metro news organization
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience
- Strong copy editing skills and expertise in digital production
- Solid news judgment and familiarity with pro and college sports
- Familiarity with web publishing and analytics tools such as WordPress and Google Analytics
